- Help with Turabian :Turabian Style Guidance
- Use Citing Sources for examples of "In-Text Citations" and "Works Cited"
- Use the Citing Websites and Print Sources to get call numbers for paper copies of syle manuals.
- Microsoft Word has a footnote feature: write you sentence/paragraph, click Insert-Reference-Footnotes. This will insert footnotes and keep them in order.

- American Memory: searches American primary sources, including early Congressional documents, the Declaration of Independence, The Federalist Papers, the Constitution, etc. Also offers documents, maps, motion pictures, photos & prints and sound recordings.
- Ad*Access: funded by the Duke Endowment "Library 2000" Fund, presents images and database information for over 7,000 advertisements printed in U.S. and Canadian newspapers and magazines between 1911 and 1955.
- Triangle Shirtwaist Fire: Cornell University provides information, primary source documents, and transcripts about the fire
- The Avalon Project: collection of over 150 historical documents ranges from some pre-18th century titles through the 20th century. Includes a title and author index to all documents.
- Children of Internment Camps: From PBS. A project on the internment camps including documentaries, documents, a timeline, and a history of the camps.
- PBS: American Experience: American Experience and many other PBS programs are great sources of information.
- Do a search for your topic
- National Archives and Records Administration: archives public documents of all varieties and relevant topics that encompass the "American Experience," with links to related sites:
